Shoulder Innovations, a local medical technology company, is moving its headquarters from Grand Rapids to Byron Township. CEO Rob Ball announced the relocation along with a $4.9 million investment for a new facility on Venture Hills Boulevard.
The expansion will create 42 new jobs in accounting, IT, quality, supply chain, and administration. Starting wages for these roles are set at $24 per hour. A $252,000 performance-based grant from the Michigan Business Development Program is supporting the project.

The new site is located off 64th Street SW between Byron Center and Burlingame avenues. While this shifts operations within the Grand Rapids metro area, it brings significant economic growth and job opportunities to the region. No construction timeline has been announced yet.
