Griffins Force Game 7 After Stunning 4–1 Win Over Milwaukee in Game 6

The Grand Rapids Griffins are going to Game 7. Thursday's 4–1 win over the Milwaukee Admirals at Van Andel Arena was the kind of performance the home crowd had been waiting for — a dominant, two-period-plus-mop-up win that pushed the series to a deciding game Saturday at the same arena.

Defenseman Jared McIsaac was the story of the night, scoring both a power-play goal and an empty-netter to finish with two goals and an assist. Goalie Sebastian Cossa, who struggled in Games 3 and 4, was exceptional — 34 saves on 35 shots, including a highlight-reel glove stop on Milwaukee's Jesper Sellgren with 3:40 left in the second that kept the game tied at 1.

The Griffins' fourth-line energy shift in the third period, which produced goals from Noah Cates and Marcus Bjork in a 90-second stretch, broke the game open. Head coach Ben Simon called it the team's best period of the postseason. "The building was loud and our guys fed off it," Simon said. "Game 7 at home — that's what you want."

Tickets for Saturday's Game 7 are available at griffinshockey.com starting at $22. A watch party at Rosa Parks Circle will have a live broadcast screen for fans without tickets, running from 5 p.m. until the final buzzer.
